The board of the foundation is supported by a board of trustees, composed of four highly qualified and renowned experts. The board of trustees advises and supports the executive board on strategic issues, thus setting important priorities for the foundation's work. In addition, it controls the activities of the executive board, decides on the annual financial statements and names the executive board after the passing of the founders.

 

Dr h.c. Hans-Werner Hector

Mr. Senator e.h. Dr. h.c. Hans-Werner Hector is a graduate mathematician, honorary senator of the University of Karlsruhe, entrepreneur and one of the founders of the software company SAP AG Waldorf. As an investor, he supported start-ups in software, biotechnology and healthcare. In addition, he and his wife are particularly involved in cultural matters and medical research and he has been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit.

Prof Dr Jörg Neuzner

Prof Dr Neuzner is director of the II. Medical Clinic, Department of Cardiology of the Kassel Hospital. One focus of his activities is the catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias. Prof Dr Neuzner is involved in the core group of the Rhythmology Working Group (AG 1) as well as the Telemonitoring Working Group (AG 33) of the German Society for Cardiology, Cardiovascular Research e.V.

Reinhold Preißler

Mr Preißler has worked as a lawyer since 1986 and is a senior partner of the law firm Preißler Ohlmann & Partner, Fürth. In addition to his activities in the field of foundation law, the strategic and constructional consulting of service providers in the healthcare sector is at the forefront of his work. He is a member of the Legislative Committee for Medical Law in the German Bar Association. He is also a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Bankakademie).

 

Prof Dr Dr Reinhard Rychlik

Prof Dr Dr Rychlik is a social and economic scientist as well as a physician. After a long career in medical research and a habilitation, he teaches as a professor of health economics at the medical faculty of the Ruhr-University Bochum among others. Since 1992 he has been director of the Institute for Empirical Health Economics in Burscheid. In addition to various teaching assignments in Germany and abroad, he is also active as an appraiser at the European Commission on matters concerning health economics.
